FAQs

  • Currently Sydney sees all of her clients via telehealth, but she does offer in-home Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy in the Los Angeles area.

  • In order to get the most benefit out of virtual/ telehealth therapy, you will need a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space to attend your scheduled session. It is strongly recommended that you attend from a laptop rather than a cellphone screen.

Sydney will not see clients while they are driving for safety reasons.

  • From my clinical experience, I have found Somatic Experiencing to be quite effective over video platforms. Telehealth allows for increased accessibility and the ability to participate from the comfort of your own home.

  • Individual sessions are $175 per session.

  • At this time, I do not accept insurance. However, I am happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (also known as a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement as an out-of-network provider.

Before beginning therapy, I recommend checking with your insurance company to understand your out-of-network benefits, including any deductible, coverage percentages, and required documentation.

  • I do not currently have any sliding-fee slots available. Please contact me if you would like to get on a waitlist for sliding-scale services.

  • California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) licensing requirements state that therapists can only provide services to clients who are located within state lines. There are few exceptions, with some other states allowing therapists to provide short-term services for clients traveling to that specific state.

  • With the exception of Ketamine work, Sydney does not offer access to or recommendations where to find psychedelic medicines or guides due to the illegal designation of these substances at this time. For people who are already choosing to work with these mind-altering substances, Sydney is available to help people prepare for those journeys and integrate those experiences afterwards as an application of harm reduction.
